About

By combining acupuncture and functional nutrition, we look beneath the surface to understand your health.

Who We Are

True healing happens when the whole person is treated - not just their symptoms. By combining time-tested wisdom of in-person acupuncture and modern science of telehealth nutrition, we are able to create a powerful, dual-action approach to bettering your health.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and with research-informed care, it can support balance and optimal function, regulate your nervous system, reduce inflammation, and optimize blood flow.

Functional nutrition uses science-based markers to assess how your body’s systems work together. Our virtual nutrition sessions will dive deep into your daily fuel, lab work, and lifestyle habits from the comfort of your own home. Together, we build a resilient, personalized foundation for your body to thrive.

My passion for acupuncture started while I was playing junior hockey. I was suffering from weight loss and terrible abdominal pain and a Naturopathic doctor diagnosed me with gluten intolerance. However, I was still experiencing symptoms even with homeopathy and an altered diet. I was then referred to Dr. John Amaro DC, L.Ac (IAMA) who treated me with acupuncture. After just a couple months of treatment, I was back to playing weight, had improved digestion, and my abdominal pains completely ceased. I have been passionate about the power of acupuncture ever since.

Meet Dr. Bryan

Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Dr. Bryan McFarlane DC was an elite hockey player. Throughout his career, he lived with various host families and found himself in 13 different states/provinces throughout the United States and Canada. He went on to play Division 1 hockey at the University of Windsor in Canada (CIS) before finishing his career playing for New England College in the United States.

Upon graduation, he was ready to pursue his passion of chiropractic and acupuncture. He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Masters in Functional Nutrition at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. He then married his wife, Heather, and started working as a chiropractor in Arizona while simultaneously training for his fellowship and board certification in acupuncture. During this time, he was able to work alongside his family, Dr. Jay McFarlane DC, Laurie McFarlane OT and Brent McFarlane (COO), while building invaluable experience in caring for others through chiropractic, acupuncture, nutrition, and rehab therapy.

Both Dr. Bryan and his wife Heather shared a true love for Nashville and decided to move there in 2024. Dr. Bryan joined a chiropractic clinic, focused on family/perinatal care and the Webster technique, and opened his own acupuncture clinic in order to serve the health needs within the community of Nashville.

When he’s not working with patients, you’ll find him cheering on his wife as a professional figure skater and singer/songwriter, playing with their two rescue kitties, Sunny and Sato, enjoying the outdoors, playing hockey in the community, and fueling up with gut-friendly recipes.

You deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin.
